Answer:8866

Answer:

You need to change the factory settings.

Setup--Factory--password:8866--car setup--Choose the correct vehicle model and screen size

3 Why is there no audio when playing music?

Regarding the problem of no sound, you need to pay attention to the following 2 points:

1. Please check if you have connected the OEM optical fiber to the new power plug.

2. You need to set the sound source to AUX in the OEM system.

If you have done the above 2 items and it still has no sound, please use another AUX cable to connect the AUX output cable of the CarPlay unit and the OEM aux plug.

Works excellent glad I purchased it

Put this unit in my vehicle because I have a new driver and I don't want her on the phone trying to navigate. Everything came included that I needed. Install the backup camera which works perfectly as does everything else. Takes a little fiddling with the programs once you have it installed but once you get that done you should have no problems. There are plenty of YouTube tutorials to help you if you just type in your vehicle information and what you're looking for

Fantastic

Was skeptical to buy this head unit, but, came quickly. Was easy for me to install and works fantastic! Was the best head unit I could find that I didn't have to cut into the dash or change anything

Update, 2 years into ownership.

I bought this unit a couple of years ago to add Android Auto to the factory system (Basic stereo with Nav)in my 2010 328i. The unit came with everything needed to perform the install except any kind of real instructions, the paperwork was very basic and generic. I am an experienced car and home audio installer so I figured it would make sense as I went along, and it did for the most part. I did have trouble getting the iDrive controller to work using all the videos and forum suggestions, and finally figured out that using only the factory iDrive connections restored its operation. 🤔 I installed the rear camera and it worked without issues except the handle it comes with protrudes into the recess for the BMW badge and makes it impossible to install correctly without some "modifcations". I shared all this with tech support and their interactions were good, they were genuinely interested in solving my issues. Once in, I had issues with volume adjustments and balance, i.e. Android volume, call volume, alert volume, etc. They sent an update to the firmware which restored some control over master volume, Alert volume, and enhanced EQ and Loudness functions, but never restored function to any other volume controls. We went back and forth but nothing worked and after a while I just learned to live with it. I will add that using the factory stereo for music on the internal HDD or CDs/DVDs or tuner there were no volume issues so I am attributing the problem to the unit. But after using this for several years it has been almost perfectly reliable, just a couple of intermittent annoyances, the display will blank for a few seconds, or I will start the car and the Android Auto will not connect unless I turn the car off, exit and lock to turn off the unit. All in all it has been a great purchase and don't regret it tho I wish they could figure out the volume issue. I will close with the warning that if you are not experienced in car audio installs, or don't have the ability to troubleshoot you should strongly consider having someone who does install this unit. it will eliminate a lot of anguish and frustration and allow you to enjoy the product.

Great when connects

I love this headunit when it allows me to connect I have trouble connecting wirelessly but reset it and it typically works (Android auto wireless). It wouldnt connect wired. I tried reaching out to wakaa with no response. I just wanted help connecting. It shows the headunit on wifi but when trying to connect to it it asks for a password but no directions and no password listed. Better ones are available on Amazon. I'm sure they all come from the same place. My only issues is that it doesn't connect. Then I have to restart my car to try to connect sometimes with no success.

So far so good!

Installed the unit yesterday in my 2007 BMW 335I with the CCC navigation system. It all works great. Only downside as others mentioned is that there are no instructions on how to install. I found this video on YouTube to be very helpful (https://youtu.be/f3_muuupYf4). Also some tips I learned from installing the unit:
* Space is very tight to get the additional wires installed. I spent most of my time routing/re-routing wires to ensure I could get the unit back in place.
* Route all wires to the right of the unit and up to the display (as featured in the video linked above)_
* When reinstalling the unit, put the large connector that mates with the existing connector also in the same cavity to the right. I found this to be the best place to put this large connector and get the headunit to be reinstalled
Otherwise, installation was pretty straightforward and I highly recommend this unit
